Cambridge Autonomous Metro (CAM) Programme Director

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority wishes to appoint an exceptional individual to act as Programme Director for the Cambridgeshire Autonomous Metro (CAM).

Reporting to the Head of Transport, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of the CAM.

Strategy & Policy Programme Manager

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (C&PCA) wishes to appoint a high calibre Strategy and Policy Transport Programme Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of the C&PCA Transport vision and objectives and performing a strategic client function.

The S&P Transport Programme Manager will be part of the Transport Team, reporting directly to the Director, Delivery and Strategy.

Key projects currently under development within the area are the first combined authority Local Transport Plan, implementation of Bus Reform and the creation of the data and monitoring framework. The position will require stakeholder management skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.

Transport Programme Manager x2

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority is looking to appoint two high calibre Transport Programme Managers who will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of an ambitious range of major transport projects and performing a strategic client function.

The Transport Programme Managers will be working as part of the Transport Team, reporting to the Head of Transport.

A total of around 30 road and rail projects have been identified and are at various stages in the design/delivery process. Depending upon the experience of the two people hired, projects will be divided accordingly. Key projects currently under development include upgrades to the A47 and A10, substantial improvements to Ely area rail and a new station at Cambridge South.

Special Projects Manager

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) is looking to appoint a Special Projects Manager, reporting to the Head of Transport and to take the lead on a range of special projects that fall outside ‘typical’ project delivery but which are essential to the capability and effectiveness of the CPCA to deliver its transport project. The current special projects that require dedicated and focussed leadership to deliver include determining the most appropriate governance and delivery models for the transport projects across the region and refinement of an appropriate suite of programme management systems for the delivery of CPCA’s priority transport projects.

This is a high-profile role working on several the Mayor’s key projects and will therefore be subject to particularly close scrutiny.

Spatial Plan Officer

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (C&PCA) wishes to appoint a high calibre Spatial Plan Officer who will be responsible for providing support to the Combined Authority’s Strategic Planning work and related policy development.

Support strategic and spatial planning you will be facilitating the Combined Authority’s Growth Ambition statement, working with constituent authorities, partners representatives, and CA directors. In the first instance this will include supporting the Strategic Spatial Planning Framework Phase 2 and the CPCA’s Land Commission.
